Grade 4/5 I hope you have been enjoying the rock and mineral
unit as much as I have been!
As you know your final project is coming up so I have provided
you with an infographic below to summarize what we have learned thus far. This
inforgraphic will also be posted in the classroom for quick reference.
Use this inforgraphic to identify areas that you may need to
revisit in your notes as well as what material you feel comfortable with!
As you read through the infographic ask yourself if you can:
- Assess the social and environmental impacts of human uses of rocks and minerals
- Investigate, test, and compare the physical properties of rocks and minerals
- Demonstrate an understanding of the physical properties of rocks and minerals
To prepare for your final project please also refer to your science
duotang and Addison Wesley textbook.

I noticed that some students were having difficulty understanding how rocks and minerals are used, recycled, and disposed of in
everyday life. Please refer to the inforgraphic below for some great examples!!
